According to CIES, all the leagues spent in total €921 million. This means €742 million in the five biggest European leagues, which beat the former record when they spent €523 million in 2013.
142 opted international for a new club, while the half of them stayed in Europe.
The Premier League was the champion and invested €443 million, followed by the Ligue 1 with €225 million, while the Bundesliga spent €189 million and the Serie A €169 million. The Spanish league is the last one with "only" €64 million.
