Martin Odegaard is among the players called for training by Real Sociedad. Although the second season of his loan deal still needs to be made official, 'AS' says that the Norwegian will be at Zubieta, Real Sociedad's training ground, on 14th August.
The agreement reached last season was for two years, but this must be reviewed in the summer. His performances for Real Sociedad were outstanding which led to talk of him being recalled by Real Madrid, but everything seems to suggest he will stay at Real Sociedad for another season.
His future depended on Luka Modric. And given that the Croatian said he will see out the rest of the Real Madrid contract, Martin Odegaard will not return to the Bernabeu until next summer.
The cited media outlet says Real Sociedad think the player will stay and both coach Imanol Alguacil and Roberto Olabe are treating him as one of their players for next season.
'Los Blancos' were waiting until after the Champions League to decide, but the player was told Real Sociedad were expecting him to play for them even before the holidays. Odegaard normally spends his holiday time in his home town of Drammen.
Although the player has been asked to return to Real Sociedad on 14th August, Odegaard will not be able to train 100% as he still has a right knee problem.
