Real Madrid are leading the race to sign former Sao Paulo defender Eder Militao. 'Los Blancos' are willing to activate the 21 year-old's £44 million release clause, with the clause's value set to rise to £66 million if Militao is still at Porto in mid-July. Naturally, Real are keen to make the signing before this jump in price, and are said to have made a 'definitive decision' on the Brazilian arriving before this. The former Sao Paulo ace can play at centre-back, right back or in midfield, and is even capable of popping up with the odd goal, with two already this season.
He has has only played in 19 games for Porto so far, having joined the club last summer. But he has already made an appearance for Brazil, making his debut in a 5-0 win over El Salvador in September. Porto's signing of former Real Madrid defender Pepe last week means they should have defensive cover should Militao depart.
