The guru Jorge Valdano spoke to 'El Transistor' and analysed the problems in attack that Real Madrid has shown in recent months.
For him, ex-coach and ex-footballer 'merengue', a great part of the problem stems from the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo from the club in 2018.
"Since Cristiano left, Real Madrid has been missing a goal per game, now they don't have goal specialists," explained a Valdano who wondered why the team changes so much from one game to another: "It has a face for the big occasions and another for the smaller ones".
The Argentinean did not ignore the debut in Germany of a Luka Jovic who triumphed in his return to the country where he became great after many troubles in Chamartin. "It hasn't worked in over a year, it's not easy to play with the Real Madrid shirt," he explained, before focusing on Odegaard: "We don't know what's wrong with him. He got injured and didn't get another chance".
Finally, Jorge Valdano gave his opinion on two other important names in the club, Eden Hazard and Erling Haaland. From the Belgian, he lamented "his misfortunes", although he valued the fact that Asensio is growing up. With regards to the Norwegian from Borussia Dortmund, a possible future signing for Real Madrid, he said he was in love with the giant: "He has a superior category, he is a machine, he shows things that are not seen in the world of football. He has an enormous power, he is a player that I am enthusiastic about".
