The Bundesliga returned with a star who is shining brighter than everyone else, Kai Havertz. The young German footballer was the object of many rumours prior to the corona break and his spectacular performances have made Real Madrid go in for him.
'SportBild' says that Madrid have offered 80 million euros for the Bayer Leverkusen star. Kai Havertz's performances since the restart have caught the eye of everyone.
There is no big European club not linked with him, Man Utd, Bayern Munich and now Real Madrid who are the first team to make a firm offer for him.
But 'Los Blancos' have a problem. Havertz has still got two years left on his contract at Leverkusen. For the Bundesliga outfit, 80 million is not enough because they want at least 100.
However, it could be deliberate as Bayern Munich are also interested in the player. They are the other major candidate to sign him.
Whatever the reason, Leverkusen want more. If they cannot sell him this year for 100 million, they seem willing to do so next year for a lot less. They want to hold onto him for at least another year.
