"I don't want to leave Ajax during winter break, I'll play here all season. That gives me clarity and peace of mind, I'll see what happens next," the midfielder told Dutch magazine Voetbal International.
Van de Beek acknowledged last August Real Madrid's interest, but the signing ended up not going through.
Asked if he has informed the Madrid club of his intention to stay in Amsterdam one more season, Van de Beek replied: "Everyone knows."
"Maybe one day in my career I'll change clubs during the winter break, but now I don't want to," he added.
Ajax are currently negotiating an economic improvement to the midfielder's contract, although it would not be an extension because it would be maintained until mid-2022.
"The link between Ajax and myself has always been good. I'm happy to know that they appreciate me and I want to give it back to the club with new achievements," he said.
