Real Madrid have four defenders to choose from
The list of names on Real Madrid's radar is long. But there is one position which especially concerns them, especially after Varane's shocking errors a few days back versus Manchester City. the centre-back position.
Without Sergio Ramos, Real Madrid are weak. Therefore, 'Los Blancos' want reinforcements for the future. They should have a bright future and should have yet to shine. That way, Madrid will not have to spend big on them.
The names the press are reporting are exciting for Real Madrid. Spanish radio programme 'El Larguero' has named four players: Dayot Upamecano, Jules Kounde, Benoit Badiashile and Gabriel Magalhaes.
Out of all of them, the one they like the most is Kounde of Sevilla. He has had an excellent season under Lopetegui. The 21 year-old has a contract at the club until 2024 and he is one of Sevilla's best players. They will certainly not make it easy for Madrid to sign him.
Another footballer who has caught the eye of the RM board is Upamecano. It looks very difficult to get him though because he has recently penned a new deal at Leipzig. He is an extraordinary player and the 21 year-old is wanted by many top European clubs.
Next is Badiashile. He is 19 and he has a bright future ahead of him. However, he has not played as much as the other two. He has made 16 appearances for Monaco, but he has yet to earn himself a regular place in the starting XI. He hopes to achieve that soon.
The oldest of the four is Magalhaes, 22. Lille have a very pacy central defender who would be brilliant for Zidane. He has played 33 games this term and Arsenal are the front runners in the race to sign him.
