Two players have caught the attention of Zinedine Zidane as he needs to know if he can count on them against Barcelona in 'El Clasico' this Saturday at the Valdebebas Stadium. Sergio Ramos is ruled out through injury and Raphael Varane due to COVID, while Eden Hazard and Dani Carvajal are two canditates who are in the running to be called up.
The Belgian is the one who looks more likely to join the squad in time for 'El Clasico'. According to reports from the club, Hazard trained this Thursday with the reserve squad at full intensity, carrying out pression and possession exercises, before later doing passing and shooting drills with the ball. He finished playing matches on smaller sized pitches.
Dani Carvajal, meanwhile, returned to train outside of the group, working on specific exercises in order to overcome his muscle injury. All of which points towards the French manager not forcing his inclusion in 'El Clasico' and instead waiting until the 2nd leg in Anfield for his return. This Friday is the last training session.
