Despite the club's delicate financial situation, the Catalans have a couple of players in mind for the future. And they do not want to wait until the summer to sign Dani Olmo and Sterling. Those are their two main targets right now.
Last summer, Barca missed out on buying Dani Olmo. They tried to get him on loan, but his club RB Leipzig said no.
But Barcelona are promising to have another go in January. The question is whether RB Leipzig will be more flexible on this occasion.
'Mundo Deportivo' says that the German club are not planning on letting him leave in January. He is key to RB Leipzig's team. If they continue in the Champions League, they will need him. He is still fundamental even if they get knocked out of the Champions League because then would likely drop into the Europa League. He will also be important in their Bundesliga season.
RB Leipzig said no last summer to an offer which could have reached 75 million euros. In order to let him go in January, the Catalan paper suggests that RB Leipzig will not settle for less than 60 million euros. Barca are not willing to pay that amount.
