According to what 'ORF' published. the Salzburg Public Prosecutor's Office has confirmed they have received a complaint from a 26-year-old woman about alleged rape by the Austrian international, Stefan Ilsanker, although no more details have surfaced on this matter.
Several Austrian newspapers, such as 'Salzburger Nachrichten," point out that the supposed assault took place on the night of the 3rd/4th of January during a meeting with several people in a private appartment and with "a lot of alcohol involved".
The player himself, who has played 41 times for his national team, has denied the accusations through his lawyer.
"My defendant strongly denies these hard accusations. There are a lot of discrepencies about what happened in this apartment," his lawyer, Kurt Jelinek said.
A few days ago, the Austrian sporting press reported that Ilsanker had asked to leave RB Leipzig in the winter market due to a lack of game time in the current Bundesliga leader's team.
