Marcus Rashford is carrying Manchester United on his shoulder after Cristiano Ronaldo's departure. The English striker has got 16 goals in the current campaign, but in just 16 days in 2023, he has managed 5 goals, one more than Erling Haaland, Robert Lewandowski, Leo Messi, Neymar, Mbappe and Salah all togther.

Manchester United look like a different team after Cristiano Ronaldo left. The dressing room tension was clear between the Portuguese man and manager Ten Hag, as well as with the rest of the squad. Now, he is at Al Nassr, and life is different at Old Trafford.

Proof of that is their current winning streak in the Premier League, and their recent comeback in the Manchester derby. One of the main reasons for this is Marcus Rashford, who has taken the team by the scruff of its neck and has assumed the role of the goalscorer.

So much so that he has already got 16 goals this season. For what it is worth, the Englishman has scored five goals so far in 2023. It is a number to take into account as it is more than six other big names in Europe have got.

These other are none other than Erling Haaland, Robert Lewandowski, Leo Messi, Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Mohamed Salah. All of them combined have got four goals, while Rashford has scored against Bournemouth, Everton, Charlton Athletic (a brace) y Manchester City.

Barcelona's Pole has got two so far, one being against Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup. The Argentine scored against Angers and the Egyptian scored in the 2-2 draw against Wolves in the FA Cup. The Norwegian, the Brazilian and the Frenchman are still yet to score this calendar year.
