Manchester United star Marcus Rashford pulled out of the England squad earlier this week after he withdrew due to injury. This meant he will have missed both games in the international break for his country.
Despite what would be usually expected of an injured player, United's Rashford has not been at home resting up. He took to Instagram to flaunt photos of a mid-season break to New York.
The star made the most of not playing to enjoy some time away outside of the UK before he'll be back to being put through his paces ahead of what promises to be a key run-in for Man United in their Premier League campaign. The Red Devils are still in three major competitions, having reached the semi-finals of the FA Cup, beating Real Sociedad in the Europa League, as well as sitting in third place in the English top flight.
Normally a stalwart for manager Gareth Southgate, 'talkSPORT' pundit Tony Cascarino claimed how this latest episode could put his future relationship with his national boss in jeopardy. On time will tell how serious the Red Devils' injury was, or whether it was just a precautionary measure as he didn't want to strain it more than necessary.
What is certain is that this is likely not to go down well with every single England fan, who would have liked to have seen their star involved in their Euros 2024 qualifying campaign.
