Ralf Rangnick, Man Utd's new caretaker manager, is now thinking abour possible reinforcements to get off to a good start at Old Trafford. The manager has reportedly got his eyes on Timo Werner, who is not enjoying himself at Chelsea.
'Bild' reports that the striker is a specific request from the German, who has reportedly requested to be able to meet with the Chelsea attacker in order to persuade him. Therefore, Man Utd have joined a long list of suitors which also features other clubs like Barcelona and Newcastle.
Rangnick and Werner were together at RB Leipzig. When the attacker was playing for the German side, the now Man United manager was carrying out his role of sporting director and he then ended up coaching again in the 2018-19 season. Werner scored 19 goals in that campaign.
Werner's great performances for the German side was what led to his explosion in Europe and his signing for Chelsea. However, now he could be close to moving to the London outfit due to his lack of minutes under Thomas Tuchel.
