The club, which will be managed by former England star Steven Gerrard come the beginning of June, said the decision came about following record season-ticket sales after Gerrard's appointment was announced.
The decision means that travelling Celtic fans will be positioned in the corner between the Broomloan and Sandy Jardine stands. The 'Hoops' were quick to respond saying they would: ''be happy to reciprocate in terms of ticket allocation.''
In July 2016, Rangers chairman Dave King rejected a bid to reduce travelling fans' allocations stating: ''In reality, and by agreement, both teams receive the same number of tickets for away games.''
The change in policy came about as a result of 'Light Blues' fans complaining that they were disadvantaged for away games at Celtic Park, given their corner position in the stadium.
