Real Madrid are still confident about getting their captain for the start of the 2020-21 Champions League. This Monday, Sergio Ramos managed to train normally together with his teammates two days ahead of the match against Shakhtar Donetsk.
Ramos, who suffered knee problems in the match against Cadiz, could return earlier than scheduled. That was what forced Zidane to take him off at half-time.
The first intention was for the captain to continue testing his knee this Monday and then train with the rest of the group on Tuesday. Ramos wants to play, but not at the expense of missing the 'Clasico'.
However, tests on the Spaniard ruled out any important injury and this Monday, he has felt fine to return to work.
Nevertheless, this does not mean that Sergio Ramos is going to play for definite on Wednesday. How he and the medical staff feels will determine whether he plays against Shakhtar.
