Ramos level with Santillana for 4th highest number of RM league games
Sergio Ramos keeps on making history at Real Madrid. On this occasion, he is now in fourth position when it comes to most number of La Liga matches following the Huesca game. The captain, who has got five league titles, has played 461 times for RM and is now level with Santillana.
The Real Madrid captain now only has three players ahead of him and they have all got over 500 appearances. Raul (550), Sanchis (523) and Casillas (510).
Sergio Ramos has won 310 games, drawn 73 and lost 78 out of the 461 he has played for the club. Including his 39 league appearances for Sevillas, he has now played 500 times in La Liga.
Last season, he featured 35 times, the most he has played in one season. That is followed by 34 in 2011-12 and 33 in 2009-10, 2005-06, 2006-07 and 2007-08.
He also stands out because of his goalscoring ability. He has scored 72 times. His record is 11 in the 2019-20 campaign.
