Ramos and Casillas left out of the best 'XI' in history

Neither Sergio Ramos nor Iker Casillas are in the best eleven in the history of football, according to 'France Football'. The Spaniards were on the French magazine's list of candidates, but did not make the final cut, in which 140 journalists from all over the world gave their opinion.
The chosen ones, ahead of them, were Lev Yashin in the goal and Franz Beckenbauer in the centre of the defense. The system chosen was 3-4-3 and these former players are placed in the scheme with Cafu and Paolo Maldini as full-backs. There was no room for 'merengues'.
It was a poor showing for contemporary football, as both are representatives of its more modern version. The retired goalkeeper was, until recently, still on the green at Porto. Ramos continues to be a key figure in Real Madrid.
In fact, Ramos has time to change the opinion of some of the experts on the panel. At 34 years old and with his renewal still in the inkwell, he could continue a few more years at the top level of world football to claim one of the best in history.
