It's a goal that Argentina will attempt to forget. After poor defending led to Jorge Sampaoli's side going two goals down, Croatia added insult to injury in added time, crushing Argentina completely.
In the first minute of injury time, Ivan Rakitic charged forward on the overlap and used Mateo Kovacic as a dummy to get a shot away from just outside the area.
His effort was saved by Willy Caballero, but it fell at the feet of the Real Madrid man, who squared it straight back to Rakitic. The ball cut the keeper out, and the midfielder then had an open goal.
He passed the ball into the net to make it 0-3, and kicked off the celebrations for Croatia, who were at that point guaranteed a spot in the final 16. Argentina, meanwhile, were absolutely humiliated, and now look a fair bet to fall at the first hurdle in the competition.
