'AS' reveal that Juventus' interest in Paul Pogba could be more Mino Raiola's interest rather than the club. The Frenchman stood out at the 'Old Lady' so the Italians are still interested in him. However, the signing is very difficult to carry out for financial reasons.
Pogba has the advantage of getting on well with many senior players in the dressing room, but he slightly prefers the option of going to Real Madrid.
While Fabio Paratici has been in England for a few days, he has not travelled to negotiate anything with regards to Paul Pogba, but for two possible swap deals.
One of them is between Dybala and Lukaku at Manchester United which was thought to be a dead cert. However, the move has now stalled. The other one is on the blue side of Manchester which would see Cancelo move to Man City and Danilo go to Italy. That move seems to have a better chance of succeeding.
Juventus have cooled down their interest in the Belgian because Mandzukic and Higuain are not very enthusiastic about the idea of having to leave for the new striker to come.
After getting Kean a move to the Premier League, Raiola is in Manchester trying to sort out Pogba's future. 'Tuttosport' reported that Juve's offer included either Dybala, Matuidi and Mandzukic or money. But no progress was made because United do not think the Argentine is that good.
It could all be part of a strategy from Raiola so that Real Madrid get a move on and go after Pogba before 6pm on Thursday, the time the PL transfer window shuts.
However, Real Madrid are also not interested in carrying out such a big expense if beforehand they do not manage to sell any of their players who cannot get into the team. Real Madrid do not want to pay the 170 million euros which United want and everything has come to a complete standstill.
Bearing in mind that Juventus could get quite a lot of money for the departures of Kean and Cancelo, Juventus' move for Pogba could be just round the corner.
Of course, as it is Real Madrid, you can never rule anything out. Even less so if the futures of players like Gareth Bale, James and Mariano get sorted out in the coming days.
