Norwich's Teemu Pukki has been given the PFA Premier League player of the month award for August after a superb start to the season, his club have announced.
The Finn has beaten the likes of Raheem Sterling and Kevin de Bruyne to the award and has been outstanding despite Norwich's poor start to the season. Norwich go into the international break second from bottom with just three points from a possible 12, but would be in a much worse position without him.
The striker has adapted quickly to the Premier League and netted a consolation in Norwich's 4-1 defeat at Liverpool before scoring a hat-trick in the 3-1 victory over Newcastle. He continued his good run of form by scoring and assisting in the 2-3 defeat to Chelsea before being unable to find the target in Daniel Farke's side's most recent game at West Ham.
He has a total of five goals and one assist from four matches so far and the East Anglian club will be hoping he can continue to deliver throughout the season.
