Now the Euros are over, Kylian Mbappe is now fully focussed on the 2021-22 season which, barring a major surprise, will see him play for Paris Saint-Germain. The main thing yet to be resolved is whether this will be the star's final season at the Parisian outfit.
Although they have not commented publically up to now, all reports suggest that Mbappe has told PSG that he will not stay at the club once his contract expires.
Real Madrid is on Mbappe's radar as his new club once he leaves the Parc des Princes, but it looks like PSG have very different plans.
'AS' reports that the PSG board, despite the number 7's refusal to extend his contract, remain very confident that the striker will pen a new deal in the coming months. There are not short of money and they are alo doing what Mbappe asked them to: create a team which can dominate Europe.
Signings like those of Wijnaldum, Sergio Ramos and Donnarumma (whose arrival is close to being confirmed) will mean PSG are strong candidates to win the Champions League next season. This does not seem to have changed Mbappe's opinion, but the club are confident the striker will change his mind as time passes.
It is a risky plan by PSG as it they cannot get the striker to renew then they will lose him for free next summer. Despite that, PSG are convinced they will keep their man.
