Italian paper 'La Gazzetta dello Sport' says that Icardi's chances of staying at PSG have reduced dramatically because of his birthday party, which did not go down well with the board, and because he has yet to fit in alongside several teammates.
These reasons have led the Parisian side to not even consider buying him permanently. To do that, they would have to put 70 million euros on the table. The French outfit are not willing to do that and even less so in these conditiions. A return to Italy is looking more likely.
The new situation apparently alters PSG's plans. That was to buy the Argentine and then sell him for around 100 million, which would give them around 30 million euros profit. The club are ready to accept that this will no longer happen.
In addition, you have to bear in mind that Neymar's possible departure is on the table again. A move away would fill PSG's coffers with money and so they would not need to try and make a profit on Icardi who has upset the club with his parties.
