At the start of the season, Mauro Icardi signed for PSG on loan from Inter, who managed to give an exit to the Argentine so he could get more game time.
And they managed it. The forward recovered his best version at the Parc des Princes, resurrecting his goalscoring finesse, reaching a whopping 20 goals in 31 matches, starting 23 of them.
Until the coronavirus came and the competition was suspended indefinitely, proclaiming PSG as champion with several matchdays left, Icardi had already shown enough to convince the Parisians.
That's why the French side are now looking to reach a deal with the Italians for the permanent signing of the ex-Sampdoria player, whose contract at Milan ends in 2022.
However, PSG aren't thinking about accepting any Inter demand, so they have reportedly ruled out offering the 70 millions euros agreed in the buyout clause at the start of the season.
'La Gazzetta dello Sport' assures that Leonardo, PSG sporting director, has reportedly already begun talks with Massimo Moratti to reach a possible deal, a figure that will please both parties.
