PSG have option to buy back Xavi Simons

There is something which explains why PSG have agreed to let Xavi Simons go to PSV. The Parisians who have reserved an option to buy him back for four million euros. 'RMC Sport', has published this clause which would allow them to get him back very cheaply although his contract is set to expire in June.
This is the most mysterious bit of the deal. In the weeks prior to 30th June, when the footballer was going to leave, the French press said that the board were going to complete his new deal. This was not made official, but his departure to the Netherlands was, which made one think that it was an agreement reached between PSV and the player without PSG being involved in it.
But the fact PSG have managed to get a buyback option suggests the club were involved in negotiations, in other words, that they might have renewed him without confirming it or reached an agreement with him to not renew the player, but loan him out to PSV instead.
In any case, the important thing is that Xavi Simons begins a new era in the Eredivisie and, if he shines, he might be able to return to Paris to form part of a very different era to the current one. Mauricio Pochettino's departure depends on his redundancy fee being agreed and when this happens, Christophe Galtier replaces him.
