COVID-19 has forced everyone to stay at home. But there are players who are not taking it seriously.
Aleskandar Prijovic, the Al Ittihad, has been the latest to breach the confinement. In Serbia, the situation is even more serious: there is a curfew and anyone who goes out onto the street after a certain time is arrested.
That has happened to Prijovic, according to a police statement published by 'Associated Press'. "The player was arrested together with other people and summoned to the prosecutor's office. They broke the lockdown rules and had a drink with more than five people in a restaurant in Belgrade after 5pm."
He is not the first player in Serbia to break the lockdown rules. Luka Jovic, the Real Madrid player, travelled to from Spain to his homeland. Images of the footballer celebrating his partner's birthday were also released and the Serbian president made clear that would be consequences. "If Jovic leaves his home, he will be arrested," he said.
In Serbia, whoever breaks the lockdown rules, can end up in prison. Prijovic did not learn the lession from Jovic's mistake and he will have to answer why he was breaking the laws.
