Premier League approve nine subs on the bench

The Premier League has approved a change ahead of the 2021-22 season which is about to start. The Premier League are allowing clubs to include nine players on the bench instead of seven.
Premier League clubs voted in favour of the measure, which was applied for the first time back in June 2020, just before being approved again halfway through last season,.
The Premier League have confirmed that the new rule will be continue for the 2021-22 season although the clubs will still only be allowed to make three changes, despite some teams wanting five.
"In any league game, a club can include up to nine subsitutes of which no more than three can be used. As well as the three changes allowed by the Premier League, up to two conbcussion subs can be made by each club," the Premier League said in an official statement.
