Popular referee denounces feeling like "garbage"

Her joke to Kitu Diaz transcended borders. The referee blew her whistle, called the footballer, put her hand in her pocket and instead of taking out a card, took a handkerchief to wipe the sweat from her forehead. 

The downside of that great occurrence is that the image reached the eyes of a person who offered Fernanda a job that had nothing to do with football. They put on the table, in her words, an "immoral proposal" that consisted of "encounters with clients".

The referee herself, with a degree in physical education and the milestone of having been the first woman to be part of a refereeing team in a men's World Cup, denounced the facts in a statement published in her social media accounts. 

"I just received this email containing an immoral proposal that made me feel like garbage. All I want is to be able to work with what I love, football and journalism. I want everyone to be able to respect the path I chose in my life," she explained.
