Antonio Rudiger headed the hosts in front in the first half, but a closer inspection of the goal showed that Pogba had completely lost his man as Willian's corner from the right was swung in.
Pogba was clearly angered by the incident, but rather than be frustrated with himself, he seemed to be blaming defender Victor Lindelof for blocking his path.
That reaction did not go down well with Nevile, who told 'Sky Sports': "Just watching Paul Pogba, he's sleeping. What's interesting is his reaction, who's he blaming?
"He's having a go at Lindelof saying 'You blocked me'. Sorry Paul, he didn't. he's marking David Luiz."
Fellow pundit Jamie Redknapp agreed with Neville, also placing the blame at Pogba's door.
"The problem is still discipline," he lamented. "We mentioned Paul Pogba at the start of the game, what an important role he has and he doesn't do well enough.
"It's very simple, you've got to stay with your man. Rudgier has got too much for him. He's pointing, he's not concentrating, he doesn't do his job. It's ill discipline, and he's cost his team."
