Playing behind closed doors in July, new option for La Liga

The coronavirus has forced half the world to stop their leagues. For now, it is unknown if the matches that remain will be able to be played.

La Liga president, Javier Tebas, met with the Primera and Segunda división teams. He wanted to speak with each and every one of them about the future options of both competitions.

After it, according to 'El Partidazo de COPE, La Liga made clear its position: the league must finish and it will be on the field. They are not considering declaring the season null and void.

Thus, the idea that La Liga are considering is for football to return in the summer. More specifically in the month of July. The matches will be played behind closed doors to minimise any risk.
