The Premier League want football to resume on 8th June. The plan also includes security measures to prevent people getting infected as well as the compulsory use of masks during training.
8th June is the day marked as the return of English football. That is when the Premier League is expected to get back underway.
The clubs have now been informed about how the games will return and of the exceptional measures that will need to be taken.
The plan includes all players, coaches and match officials being tested 48 hours before returning to training, something which should happen three weeks before the competition resumes.
In other words, everyone will be tested on 15th or 16th May and training will begin on 18th May. Training sessions which will have to be done with masks on.
Another of the peculiarities of the training sessions would be that the changing rooms would not be allowed to be used. No more than five footballers could train together and massages would be banned unless a club says otherwise.
This plan though could be delayed if the UK government decides to extend the lockdown period until June. If that happened, the dates in this plan of action would have to be adjusted accordingly.
