Pique's search for full fitness continues. The Catalan was unable to join his team-mates for Thursday's training session due to ongoing trouble with his problematic right knee.
The Spain international has been forced to play through the pain barrier in recent weeks, but he know needs to be careful to ensure that he does not wind up ruling himself out of a critical period of Barca's season.
As things stand Pique is unlikely to be included in the squad to take on Catalan neighbours Girona at the Camp Nou on Saturday night, with Barca boss Ernesto Valverde due to name his 18-man squad for the game on Friday.
Pique's setback has come at a good time for Barca, with Thomas Vermaelen available once again to provide an experienced alternative at the back following a hamstring complaint.
Youngster Carles Aleña joined in with first team training to make up the numbers, whilst Pique was the session's only absentee.
