Perfectionist Raya says he 'could've done better' in Man United draw

The Spaniard made several crucial interventions that earned Arsenal a point at Old Trafford, as Bruno Fernandes' opener from the set-piece was cancelled out by Declan Rice's equaliser in the second period. Nevertheless, David Raya revealed that he was far from happy with his performance.
"Defensively yes, attacking I could’ve done a little bit better," he said post-match. "The standards that I give to myself and I, with the team, I should’ve been better with decision making sometimes in the second half, where we could’ve played more to break the press."
He added: "Sometimes United press very well, very aggressively man to man and it’s tough but my demands are a bit higher than that and I want to do the best for the team. I know I made a few passes that were risky and I put Saliba into a little bit of trouble but that’s just my standards."
Raya's confession came after former goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel hailed the Gooner's display, deeming his double save in the final minute as "unbelievable". Raya will be hoping to pefect his decision-making skills when Arsenal host PSV in the second leg of the Champions League last 16 on Wednesday.
