The match between Portugal and France (2-2) was a passionate affair and was dominated by penalties - three out of the four goals of the encounter come from 12 yards. Pepe, who knows Benzema well after their long spell together at Real Madrid, tried to alert Rui Patricio to which direction the attacker would strike his spot kick, however the GK didn't follow his advice and Benzema duly scored.

Both Portugal and France secured their qualification to the last 16 of the Euros. The point in the final group clash helped both teams progress to the next round. The match itself was dominated by penalties - two going the way of Portugal, one in favour of France.

Benzema stepped up to shoot from twelve yards for his country. Just before he took his spot kick, Pepe started gesturing wildly, as he tried to warn Rui Patrio where the striker was going to put it.

Pepe know it perfectly. The defender spent plenty of time with Benzema at Real Madrid and knew exactly where Benzema was going to strike. His predictions didn't fail... but Rui Patricio did.

He didn't dive in the direction that Pepe had pointed and Benzema's strike hit the back of the net. The CB was furious and berated Rui Patricio over not following his advice, with Benzema's goal confirmed on the scoreline.
