Nicolas Pepe celebrated Arsenal's win against Norwich City with a controversial Instagram post which he had to edit shortly afterwards. The striker spoke about survival after the team got out of the relegation zone.

Controversy in North London. There is tension at the club and Arsenal's Pepe made a joke on social media after victory over Norwich City last Saturday. The Gunners had won 1-0 thanks to an Aubameyang goal.

It is true that the first three games had been matches to forget for the Gunners. Arteta's men had lost their first three matches without scoring, but the French striker's celebratory post was not well received by all the fans.

"We are staying up!," Pepe said on Instagram together with a photo of him during the game. The win meant Arsenal climbed out of the relegation zone, which is why Pepe made the comment on social media. That was also chanted sarcastically by Arsenal fans in the stadium after the goal.

However, his message did not go down very well with some supporters. Therefore, Pepe edited his message and removed the reference to staying up.
