Pep's direct football - Ederson starts attack, Mahrez finishes

After a tough start, City struck first at the Etihad and put themselves infront against Paris Saint-Germain in the home side's first real attack of the game.

The strike from Rihad Mahrez came in a direct bit of football - something very different to Pep Guardiola's usual playing style.

The play began with Ederson, who struck a long ball which Zinchenko reached with his pace, before playing a magnificent ball into the edge of the box for Kevin De Bruyne.

The Belgian connected with a shot that appeared goalward, but it was blocked by the PSG defence. Mahrez was the quickest to react, jumping on the loose ball and sliding it between Keylor Navas' legs with his right foot.
