Pep delighted with Cherki and Reijnders’ impressive debuts

Pep Guardiola was very pleased with the performance of Manchester City's new signings after their convincing 4-0 victory over Wolves. The Catalan coach particularly highlighted the role of Reijnders, who was named man of the match and scored the second goal.
Guardiola said: "[I’m pleased with the] result and the first half," although he added that the team still needs to tweak a few details in the second half. On adapting to the system, he said: "We punished them on transitions because we have incredible pace with Oscar [Bobb], Tijjani and Erling [Haaland]."
The coach highlighted the importance of having players like Ait-Nouri and Cherki, both of whom also starred in the last Club World Cup. Guardiola is confident that the integration of new talent will increase the team's competitiveness and offensive potential throughout the season.
According to the coach, "Cherki's talent in small spaces is unbelievable, his creativity is extraordinary, and in certain games we will need him." With this victory, Manchester City begins the season by sending a clear message to its rivals about its aspirations in the Premier League.
