The left-back's previous contract was due to expire this summer, but both parties mutually agreed to hold onto Pearce, with the 20-year-old signing on for another four years.
Pearce joined the academy from Premier League outfit Everton back in 2014, and tallied up one goal from only five appearances in the second tier during his debut season with the Peacocks.
The youngster is currently on international duty with the England U21 side, where they defeated Scotland 3-1 to progress to the finals in the Toulon tournament.
He wrote on Twitter: ''Delighted to have signed a new four-year deal. Thank you to everyone at the club and the fans for your support.''
