Palladino terminates Fiorentina contract on mutual agreement

Managers have been the main talking point in Italy over the past 24 hours. After the news of Antonio Conte's stay at Napoli and Massimiliano Allegri's return to AC Milan, to replace Sergio Conceicao, Fiorentina have also confirmed the departure of Raffaele Palladino.
The 41-year-old had reportedly communicated his decision to resign from his position as head coach to La Viola earlier this week, believing that his vision did not align with the long-term project of the Tuscany outfit.
"AC Fiorentina announce that the contract tying the club to head coach Raffaele Palladino and his staff has been terminated on mutual agreement today," reads a statement released on Friday by the Serie A side.
Fiorentina will now be on the hunt to find Palladino's successor for the upcoming season. Meanwhile, 'Sky Sports' reports Atalanta have eyed Palladino as the ideal candidate to replace departing boss Gian Piero Gasperini.
