Fulham's goal this transfer window is to strengthen their team to try and stay in the Premier League. The English side, who won promotion from the Championship last season, are looking to cement themselves in the top flight of English football and stop being a 'yo-yo club'.
Although they lost one of their best players in the form of Fabio Carvalho, who joined Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool, the 'cottagers' have already identified a replacement: Joao Palhinha. The 26 year-old Portuguese international midfielder currently plays for Sporting CP.
Fabrizio Romano revealed this Sunday that the Portuguese player passed part of his medical with Fuham. He also indicated that the English club would pay 22 million euros and that, despite an official announcement, everything has been agreed between both clubs.
Joao Palhinha, who is capable of playing both as a pivot and a box to box central midfielder, will strengthen the midfield of the 'whites'. Apart from being a big offensive presence, his high rate of tackling, interceptions and recoveries show that he is a player who is good defensively.
