Now the transfer window has closed and the squads have been completed, the time has come to reveal the players registered to play in the Champions League just two days before the start of the competition. Barcelona have made their list of players official and there is a surprise in midfield.
Xavi Hernandez has chosen Pablo Torre instead of Gavi in the midfield. Gavi's absence has surprised people and Torre is in the squad along with Busquets, Pedri, Pjanic, Kessie, Sergi Roberto and Frenkie de Jong.
Torre, ex-Racing Santander, has the number 32 shirt and Gavi and Alejandro Balde are not included. They could feature in the B team's list. The left-back has gone ahead of Jordi Alba at the start of the season, but competition has increased.
With the arrival of Marco Alonso on the left flank, Balde has less chances to play under Xavi Hernandez. Bellerin, who joined Barca a minute before the window closed, was also registered.
Up front there are no surprises as Dembele, Lewandowski, Ansu Fati, Ferran Torres, Memphis Depay and Raphinha are included.
