Barcelona were involved in a big Champions League clash against Benfica at the Camp Nou. And Barcelona started well, but they failed to get the goal in the attacks they had. The Portuguese team improved as time went by and they even thought they had taken the lead, but the goal did not count.
The team from Lisbon took an outswinging corner, Rafa Silva cut back from the far post and Otamendi was there in the middle.
The central defender, with his left foot, hitting a thunderbolt which saw Ter Stegen left for dead. However, the assistant referee cut the former Valencia man's celebrations short by raising the flag.
The ball went out of the field of play in the air and saw it remain 0-0. The VAR did not take long to confirm the call.
