The goalkeeper, who has spent 4 seasons at Arsenal as their reserve choice behind Petr Cech, believes that his national side has the capability to beat Gareth Southgate's England side.
The South Americans are viewed by many as the underdogs coming in to the fixture, particularly given that Bayern Munich star James Rodriguez is unlikely to be fit enough to take part in the game.
Despite this potential blow to his national side, Ospina maintains the belief that they can get past the Three Lions.
"We feel we've got a good team and we're excited about what we can achieve. We've got lots of players who play at big clubs in Europe and are used to these kind of matches," he said.
"It is never about one player, [James Rodriguez] you could see in our games so far that we are all together, all on the same side, and working together to achieve great things."
The Colombians won Group H and have an array of talent on display, such as Tottenham's Davinson Sanchez in defence and Juventus winger Juan Cuadrado, formerly of Chelsea.
However good their players may be, Ospina was keen to highlight the importance of his country's fans in supporting the team ahead of the match.
"'Colombians are everywhere in the whole world and we have to take that support, that desire from our people, and use it in these big games."
The match takes place in Moscow on Tuesday, with the winner going through to play a quarter final match against either Switzerland or Sweden.
