Karim Benzema put Madrid in front with one of the most beautiful goals ever witnessed in 'El Clasico'. A delightful backheel from the Frenchman made it 1-0.
Barcelona protested that there had been a foul by Lucas Vázquez in the build-up to the goal. Referee Gil Manzano didn't blow for a foul and Madrid broke quickly up the pitch, catching Barcelona napping.

Fede Valverde came out with the ball, his strength beating two Barca players before playing it out wide to Lucas Vázquez, who left Jordi Alba behind. The Madrid full-back waited for the arrival of Karim Benzema in the area to put the ball in at the front post, where the Frenchman beat Araujo to get his shot away.
Benzema was ready and, without being able to shoot facing forward, he pulled a backheel out of the hat, which beat Araujo and suprised Ter Stegen, who watched the ball go in at the front post.
As 'SER' writes, Madrid's striker broke his awful record against a La Liga side with this goal. He hadn't scored against Barca in nine games before this encounter.
