Ogbonna, now of West Ham, believes that Juventus can still go far in Europe without the Frenchman.
"I think they can [compete for the Champions League]," Ogbonna told 'Gazzetta dello Sport'.
"They have a really good team and squad.
"They'll miss [Paul] Pogba but they've got [Miralem] Pjanic and [Gonzalo] Higuain, so they've got a lot of quality and not much will change".
Pogba looks set to join the Red Devils for a world-record fee of around £89m and will undergo a medical examination for the next couple of days.
