Another Valencia board member has left. After the departures of some important people since Marcelino's sacking, now Mateu Alemany has decided to part company with the club.
The Valencia director general has travelled to Singapore to hold a meeting with the owner Peter Lim and both have reached an agreement for Alemany to leave.
Valencia have announced the news this Thursday morning so his time at the club will end in the coming days, which has been short but successful.
After two and a half years with lots of change at the club, Alemany leaves with the Spanish outfit in the Champions League and being Copa del Rey holders.
Valencia's statement reads:
After an agreement in principle to end his contract a few days back, the current Valencia CF director general, Mateu Alemany, has held in the last few hours a meeting in Singapore to say goodbye to the largest shareholder of the club, Peter Lim, before formalising his departure in the coming days.
Valencia CF wishes to publicly thank Mateu Alemany in recognition of his enormous dedication, effort and achievements through his time at the club and we wish him the best of luck in his professional career.

The timeline has been the following. First, Marcelino and his coaching staff left then Pablo Longoria did and now Mateu Alemany has done the same. The club tried to dismiss one of those who helped to get Valencia back on track.
