20 year-old striker Francisco Trincao will be a Barcelona player from 1st July, his club Braga have confirmed.
The transfer has cost Barca 30.9 million euros and Trincao will remain at Braga for the rest of campaign. Barca say he will pen a five year deal and will have a buyout clause of 500 million euros.
He is a Portugal U21 international and he won the U19 European Championship in 2018 where he was second highest goalscorer of the competition.
Trincao has been at Braga since 2011 coming through the youth teams at the club before breaking into the first team at the end of 2018. His debut came on 28th December 2018 in a Taca da Liga group game versus Setubal and he has netted three times in 30 appearances. This term, he has played 21 times scoring three goals and giving six assists.
The left footed player is so talented that he even made the shortlist for UEFA's Golden Boy award, a prize given to European football's best young players.
For Barcelona, he is a great acquisition and possibly a great replacement for Luis Suarez in the future.
