OFFICIAL: Tottenham complete €60m signing of Xavi Simons from RB Leipzig

Spurs have been in pursuit of an attacking midfielder during the summer transfer window. The 22-year-old has agreed a five-year contract with Spurs, which also includes an option for a further two years.

The highly rated playmaker becomes one of the most significant additions of Tottenham's summer window as the club look to strengthen their squad under Thomas Frank.

Known for his creativity, versatility and technical quality, Simons is expected to add flair and control to the Spurs midfield. 

"I'm really happy and can't wait to get going," he said. "I've been dreaming of this for a long time. It's a great club and when I met the head coach (Frank), I knew straight away that this was the right place for me."

Simons arrives in north London after impressing in both the Bundesliga and on the international stage with the Netherlands. His ability to operate across multiple attacking roles made him one of Europe's most sought-after young talents, with Tottenham ultimately winning the race for his signature.

This move underlines Spurs' ambition to compete at the highest level, both domestically and in Europe. Supporters at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium will now be eager to see him in action as he looks to make his mark in the Premier League.
