Millwall have confirm the signing of Jiří Skalák on a long-term deal for an undisclosed fee from Brighton and Hove Albion.
After failing to play a single Premier League game for Brighton during their first season back in the top-flight, Skalák has been allowed to join Millwall for an undisclosed fee.
Skalák revealed his excitement to get started to the club's website:
"I'm really happy to join the club. I cannot wait to play my first game at The Den," he said. "I'm more than happy and appreciate that I am getting my chance here. I will do my best for the club and try to help the team.
"It's very nice to feel [wanted]. I'd like to say thank you [to Neil Harris] - he's waited for me for a long time. It wasn't easy, but now I am here and I'm happy to be here."
Manager Neil Harris also spoke highly about his new signing:
"He fits our style of play, first and foremost, and comes with great references as a character. He's extremely hard-working and has some real ability as well. His crossing ability - with both feet - is very good, his set-piece delivery is excellent and he certainly adds a blend to what we've got already in wide areas. I really look forward to working with him."
