Sam Johnstone has signed a new Manchester United contract which will tie him until 2018 to the club. The contract includes the option to stay a further year.
He hasn't made yet any appearance in the Premier League but is happy to stay. He hopes his team-mate De Gea will help him to improve.
Mourinho said about the 23-year-old: "Sam is a goalkeeper with great potential. He is a very professional young man with a great attitude to the game.
"He has progressed immensely even during my short time at the club. I am delighted he has committed his future to Manchester United".
Johnstone expressed his happiness as well and said: "I am delighted to have signed a new contract. I have been with the club since I was 10 years old and have grown up here.
"The last 13 years have flown by and I have enjoyed every moment of my time here so far," he said.
