"Raul Gonzalez Blanco will coach Real Madrid Castilla next season. Raul, who had coached Cadete B and Juvenil B this campaign, will begin a new chapter at Real Madrid," the club wrote in a statement.
With the '7' to his back, the striker was converted in a legend for Real Madrid fans. Throughout his 16 seasons at the Bernabeu, Raul won three European Cups, two Club World Cups, a UEFA Super Cup, six La Liga titles and four Spanish Super Cups.
Since he got his coaching licence, the Real Madrid faithful have followed closely his time on the bench and after coaching Juvenil B and Cadete B, the Real legend is now the Castilla coach.
Now he has got the UEFA Pro Licence, - which he picked up last Friday - Raul will replace Manolo Diaz on the Castilla bench with the aim of getting the desired promotion to Segunda, after getting knocked out in the play-offs by Cartagena.
